Connecting your WooCommerce, Shopify, or Magento store gives Recommendor everything it needs to run recommendations, search, cart recovery, and forecasting from your own data.
Catalog sync
Products (with images and category links), categories, customers, orders with line items, and your pages and blog posts. Run a full sync any time — product and category webhooks keep it current in near real time in between.
Cart and checkout events
Cart snapshots for recovery, checkout-started and checkout-completed events for the funnel, and checkout-failure records for failed payments and coupons.
The embed
One plugin install injects recommendations and search, the chat widget, the product-alert widget, and — if you turn it on — the session recorder.

Read-only, always
The REST client never writes to your store. A win-back coupon, for example, is one you create in your store's admin yourself — Recommendor only tells you when to send it.
Origin-locked embed
The embed only serves for origins matching your registered store URL — not any site that requests it.

What the integration does, and what it deliberately doesn't.
No. Generate a REST API key pair from your store's admin, enter it in Recommendor, and install the plugin — it adds the embed for you. A developer is only useful if you want a block placed in one exact custom-theme spot.
No. The REST client is read-only. Recommendor reads your catalog, orders, and customers to power recommendations, search, and forecasting — it never creates or edits records in your store.
Nothing is removed. A sync that fails partway never deletes data — cleanup only happens after a clean run, so a network blip can't empty your catalog. Every sync is logged with what ran, what changed, and what failed.
